Here is a work in progress of rendering our characters. They still have a ways to go, but we are excited!
Nicholai, Das, AK, and Blaze - This naive young group of kids call themselves “the RATS.” They run together after school causeing all sorts of mischief, mostly petty crimes such as graffiti and stealing from the local store. Until they decide to drop bricks onto the under pass below, which could potentially cause significant damage. Each member of the gang wears the same jacket, with the Rats emblem on the back and a Rats patch on the front.

Meet our main character, Echo - He wants to be cool so badly that he will go to great lengths to seem tough. Even though he acts rude and calloused, he is just a goofy kid with a temper. Echo is the youngest and smallest individual in his gang. Echo would have you believe that he has everything in control but, the truth is, he gets lost in his ego quite easily.

We have made a tumblr to show the progress on our short film named Albatross. The basic concept of our story is about an individual boy named Echo, and a lesson he learns while growing up. Even though we’ve never attempted a short film before, we are dedicated to our story and would be determined to see it through to its completion. It is important to us to ensure that the message remain intact because, we feel, that this is what makes the piece stand out. An original story with interesting, lifelike characters will come together in a truly memorable short film.
